Melissa Leo becomes the first Academy Award winner to use the F-word in an Oscar acceptance speech.

   Melissa Leo said: "I'm just shaking in my boots here. When I watched Kate Winslet two years ago it looked so f*#* easy".

   Later backstage, Leo jokingly conceded it was "probably a very inappropriate place to use that particular word. Those words, I apologize to anyone that they offend. There is a great deal of the English language that is in my vernacular," Leo added.

   "I have a feeling my career has just peaked. I am experiencing stirrings somewhere in the upper abdominals which are threatening to form themselves into dance moves, which joyous as they may be for me would be extremely problematic if they make it to my legs before I get off stage"
